The Mississauga Senators are proud to announce that Gabriel Frasca has been selected as the player of the month for September. Frasca has been with the Mississauga Senators organization since his Minor Atom year. He is currently on the Minor Bantam team whose core group of players have experienced major success and accomplishments since their start in Minor Atom under the guidance of head coach Chris Stevenson.

Frasca is a player that shows extreme dedication and hard work on and off the ice. He plays with passion to help his teammates and always brings focus and speed to the game. During his time with the Mississauga Senators, Frasca has been able to experience multiple tournament victories, and GTHL Championships, but his favourite moment with the Senators was winning the OHF’s during his Peewee year. It was during this game that Frasca scored the winning goal with 32 seconds left in the championship game. Frasca recalls one of his favourite moments was the “exciting party with the boys and the parents in Ottawa” after the big win.

Looking forward, Frasca is most excited for the playoffs this season. He says they are the most exciting games and is always the best competition. Chris Stevenson has been coaching Frasca for the past 5 years and states that “as a coach you want players who love to be at the rink, want to learn and always bring their best and to me that’s Gabriel. He’s had a fantastic start to the season and as a team and coaching staff, we’re very happy for him”.

This past spring, Frasca got to go to France and play with the East Coast Selects. He was selected to play on the North American All-Star Team and received player of the year for the East Coast Selects. The Frasca family are no strangers to living in arenas. Both of their older boys, Jordan and Jacob Frasca also played for the Mississauga Senators and are currently both playing in the OHL respectively for the Kingston Frontenacs and Barrie Colts. Gabriel states, “I have been very lucky, I have two older brothers that I’ve learned a lot from. I have teammates that challenge me and a coach who teaches me”.

The Mississauga Senators would like to extend their congratulations to Gabriel on being recognized for all of his hard work over the past 5 years and his great start to this season. Keep up the #SENSational work.
