Land Acknowledgement

The Mississauga Senators Hockey Club acknowledges that the land of the Greater Toronto Area (Toronto, Vaughn, Markham & Mississauga), where our athletes train, compete, and grow, is situated on the traditional territory of many Indigenous Nations. This includes the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Anishinaabe, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, the Huron-Wendat, and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples.

We also acknowledge this land area is covered by treaties 13, 14, 19, 22, 23 and the Williams Treaties.

We recognize that our presence on these lands comes with responsibility. We honor the enduring relationship Indigenous peoples have with this land and are committed to fostering understanding, respect, and reconciliation through sport and community.
